The Battle
Call To Arms

To prevent forces from "passing in the night" over the same area, forces first battle on the border, the victor continues into the interior.
Should other forces arrive or defend that region another battle would occur.
see Resources, Region, Production
Each round in a battle involves three steps:
Each unit randomly chooses an enemy unit to target for an attack.
All units that are owned by other players are considered enemies.

Allied units are not targeted.
Each form type has a different size that is used when determining targets in battle.
All units fire simultaneously.

A unit's offense rating determines the chance a shot has to hit its target.
For example, a rating of 30 means the unit has a 30% chance of hitting its target.
Units hit during step two have a chance to defend themselves based on their defense rating.
For example, a unit with a defense rating of 40 has a 40% chance of surviving a hit.
Units that do not successfully defend themselves are destroyed or, in the case of forms, reduced in health.
Ownership
This process is repeated until only one player (or group of players fighting together) has forces remaining.

The winner of the battle owns the region.
Battle conditions and outcome can be assessed in battle review.
It is also possible that a single battle can destroy all units: In this case, the region's current owner retains ownership.
