While forces may enter and battles may be waged, no forces or forms can survive in a Black Between region.

Black Death

Should two or more opposing forces meet in the Black Between, they would fight, the victor would gain ownership, then any remaining forces would be eliminated by the Black Between.

Likewise, any forces or structures on the region when it is turned into the Black Between are eliminated.

Lesser Upgrades

For each different type of Black Between region that you own, your lessers get upgraded to the next level.

Likewise, if you lose a Black Between region type, your lessers will get downgraded to the next lower level.

Upgrading/downgrading of lessers based on number of Black Betweens is the last thing that happens during the Turn.

So, the lesser type you see on your regions before the Turn is the lesser type that you will fight with during that Turn.

This way, you can get credit for capturing enemy Black Between regions.

Cast Out

The Black Between spells can only be cast on regions that you own.

In addition, you can only cast a Black Between if you do not already own one of that type.

The game ends when any player controls one of each of the six types of Black Between region.
