Terraforming Options
The game maps can have different Terrain Templates which determine the distribution of region types on the map.
If no Terrain is listed, then it will use the Default Terrain Template.
A description of the available templates is listed below:

DEFAULT
Basically, a random distribution of the six region types.

DEAD FOREST
50% of the regions are forest regions. Remaining terrain is randomly distributed amongst the remaining five region types.

GAIA
Very open terrain. Very few Mountains or Frozen Seas, with the remaining terrain is randomly distributed amongst the remaining four region types.

DUNES
50% of the regions are dunes regions. Remaining terrain is randomly distributed amongst the remaining five region types with the exception that Mountains are favored over Frozen Seas.

SWAMPS
50% of the regions are swamp regions. Remaining terrain is randomly distributed amongst the remaining five region types with the exception that Frozen Seas are favored over Mountains.

GREAT LAKES
Large clumps of Frozen Seasgrouped together. Remaining terrain is randomly distributed amongst the remaining five region types, with slighly less chance for Mountains to occur.

HIMALAYAS
Large chains of Mountains linked together. Remaining terrain is randomly distributed amongst the remaining five region types, with slighly less chance for Frozen Seas to occur.

BUNCHED
Mountains and Frozen Seas are treated the same and grouped together into small clumps. Remaining terrain is randomly distributed amongst the remaining four region types, with no single Mountain or Frozen Sea territories (only clumps).
