Games Direct Message (to Do)

Community Feedback

We're listening. For players who wish to have a voice in the future of Evernight, this is the place to talk to management. This is the newsgroup we'll be actively monitoring on a daily basis.

Reddit, StumbleUpon, etc.

You know, one of the reasons Evernight hasn't been successful is due to the lack of exposure. Ever since I left years ago, I had not even once been exposed to anything Evernight related. No ads, e-mails.... nothing. It's like the old management team was too lazy to attempt to build their subscriber base, hoping that the current players would do that for them. Sure, you can blame that on the fact that perhaps there were not as many avenues to attract attention back 10 years ago as there are now. But in reality, sites like Facebook, Reddit and even MySpace have been around for atleast 5 years, so you would think that if the old management team was trying to get the attention of new gamers, I would have atleast HEARD something Evernight related at some point. Today, there are so many opportunities to get Evernight out there in the public eye, and for free too. Why not go to the gaming subreddit of Reddit.com and make a thread there? Reddit readers love a good game and, if you make it interesting enough, they will expose the game for you. Why not start a small kickstarter fund on Kickstarter.com? Use the money to further develop the game? If the kickstart grows fast enough, it will garner the attention of more people on it's own. Post about the kickstart in the newsgroups and direct our own people to it so they can help. E-mail out the details of the game and it's current revamp to various gaming sites and blogs. The more, the better. Sure, not all of them will bite, but even if only one does decide to run a story about us, hell... That's one more avenue than we had before! And here is one more crazy idea. I'm not exactly sure how this would work, what kind of funds would be needed or if it is even possible, but why not post a trailer for Evernight in Valve's Steam Store for free? Not the actual game of course, but just a trailer promoting the game. Also include a promotional code that redeems a free 2 week FULL SUBSCRIBER trial for any new players? There are soooo many ways for Evernight to get it's name out there. I'm sure there are more, but these are just a few suggestions that I have seen work for others. The Knockout Kid

Yes. All these are excellent ideas.
Of course I recognize the names, but I'm not very familiar with either Reddit or StumbleUpon, however I just did add them to our list of avenues to investigate.
We do intend to reach out to as many channels as we're able to when the time comes. Social media sites, gaming sites, gaming blogs, etc.
And yes, we have been kicking around some ideas for kickstarter projects when the time is right. Believe me, if/when that happens, you'll hear about it.
Valve's Steam Store is an interesting idea. I have to admit that's another area I'm not particularly familiar with, but I certainly agree that's an idea worth some time to look into.
